Pigs and toilets

We had our primary program practice this morning and in the middle of it one of my sunbeams turns to me and says:

Sunbeam- Why did the pig look inside the toilet?

Me- I'm not sure, why?

Sunbeam- To find poo. To find poo and bacon!

I had to try and hold back the urge to laugh out loud hysterically. Little kids are AWESOME.

Friday Flashback 16 ~ Idaho 2009

{Labor Day Weekend}

We played with guns.

Ate snowcones.

Rocked out in the car.

Had a photo shoot out on the docks in Coeur d'Alene.

Walked to the park.

And played at the park.

It was a fun trip (as always)! And it was also the trip that sparks flew for Daniel and Wendy!
They started dating and were engaged shortly after that trip.
And now they are married, which we love because they are our bestest friends!

Cake Boss

So I just learned that Cake Boss is coming to Seattle!! I kinda feel like a dork, but I totally want to go!

"Buddy's live show is an evening of cakes, stories, and fun. In this rare live, interactive event, TLC's Cake Boss will share the stories behind his hit series and his colorful Italian family, answer audience questions, and give a live demonstration of the techniques that have made him one of the most successful and renowned cake artists in the nation. Buddy will even invite a few audience members on stage to join in."

How fun does that sound?! The only downside is that the tickets are kind of expensive. About $50 for the most expensive seats (which is where I would want to sit!) I'm so going if I can find someone to go with me (Erich has to work). Or possibly by myself if I have to!

The hood

{October 19th}

It was a nice day to take a rollerblading stroll around the neighborhood. I've really grown attached to this place. It'll be sad when we eventually move. Unless maybe we find a house here we like. We'll see what happens.

We like to walk here and feed the ducks. Even though technically you're not suppose to. Shh..

Spooner Farms

We went to Spooner Farms today with Bethany and her family. It's such a fun tradition. Our favorite part probably has to be the pumpkin sling-shot. They also have a huge corn maze (that has a different theme every year), lots of animals, TONS of pumpkins, pony rides, games, and a whole lot of yummy food.

that my duck totally kicked his ducks trash!

Friday Flashback 15 ~ Family pictures

1988. Outside the Salt Lake temple after we were sealed together as a family.

1992. The year our parents split up and we made the move from Ontario, Canada to Ivins, Utah.

1994. Whoever said matching denim wasn't totally cool?! I think this look could make a comeback. 

1996. Can you say, crazy cat family?! We didn't have this many cats for very long I swear! 

1998. Down to one cat. And working the denim and plaid once again.

2001. The year Shaun left for his mission to Georgia. I have to say the beige is much better!

2004. Ivins, UT ~ home of the Big Red Mountain. Representing our Canada roots!
